About

Welcome to Cycling Sweet! I love cycling, whether it’s hopping on one of my three bikes to commute to a workout, the library or work, or simply cycling with a group for fun for several hours on Saturday mornings. Although, the best rides often seem to be those that give me an alternative to paying for car parking and/or bring me to a with a fun activity or a sweet treat.

Growing up in a small town, cycling was my main form of transportation around town in the summers. Back then, I rode a John Deere bicycle with a banana seat. In high school, I saved up to purchase what I considered my first real bike, a very solid commuter bike that came with me to college (and was confiscated by college security over the summer. That hurt!)

Today, my pets are my bikes: a road bike, a mountain bike and a fold-up bike for errands around town. It’s taken me awhile to figure out the logistics of commuting back and forth to work, which I started in earnest after a deer hit my car . Now, though, it’s always a little sad when there’s rain in the forecast because then I drive to work. Next challenge: getting comfortable cycling in the rain!
