Finding COVID vaccines

There doesn’t seem to be as much demand in Toronto for the second booster of the COVID vaccine. While my usual pharmacy didn’t have any appointments, this pharmacy ten minutes away by bike had same day appointments. In fact, I wouldn’t have even known this location existed except for the vaccine scheduling website. It’s a tiny drug store branch with a sign that could be from the 1980s. Inside the narrow store, the pharmacist and his assistant were located along the back wall. The pharmacist was very pleasant and accommodating while he raced back and forth to fill prescriptions, talk to customers and give vaccinations. While I’m thankful to have gotten a same day appointment, it does make me wonder how many people have grown so tired of COVID that they’re no longer going to get any more boosters.
